The Holland Fellows Program is a prestigious program that selects 12 students from ASU and 12 students from Fudan University in Shangahi. An ASU student and a Fudan student are partnered up to work with together on the project. Through this international research study we learned the value of communication as well as the quality of a friendship that can endure while miles apart. Without this program, this blog, even being in China in the first place would never have been possible. Through it, I have learned much about the cultural differences and similarities that exist between China and the US and I have challenged and pushed myself more than I ever have to make the most of everything and to try new things, even if they are outside my comfort zone or may intimidate me at first. I have conquered many fears and have been rewarded with an experience of a lifetime and most of all I have made 23 new friends that I am blessed to know and I will always cherish each one of them and the memories we have together!
