My thoughts on Beijing
My favorite memory of Beijing, of course besides eating the spider and scorpions, and the great wall, was the second night we were in China. We were walking around exploring the busy streets of people at night and as we turned a corner we heard some loud music and to our surprise saw a ton of people with glow sticks in the courtyard of a building line dancing! It looked like a flash-mob. It wasn't just any line dancing it was Chinese line dancing. As we approached the crowd of people we noticed that the majority of people were older and they seemed to be having the time of their lives! It looked like so much fun that we decided to join them. As we tried to follow the steps and keep up with the other ladies, they all laughed as we fumbled around. Some of them tried to teach these special moves, but they were quite confusing. Eventually, I just made up my own moves and had a great time. After a while we got tired and decided to explore more of Beijing. As we left the courtyard I looked back, happy to see the dancing people filled with so much joy and zest for life.
